We’re proud to announce that TTEC Digital has officially become a Living Wage accredited employer in the United Kingdom. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to putting people first, both within our organisation and in the communities we serve.
By joining over 16,000 UK businesses that voluntarily pay the real Living Wage, including respected names like KPMG, Burberry, and IKEA, we’re recognising the dedication and hard work of our employees with salaries that truly meet everyday living costs.
Unlike the UK government’s National Living Wage, the real Living Wage is calculated based on what employees actually need to live, not the minimum that businesses are allowed to pay. The real Living Wage is currently set at £12.60 across the UK and £13.85 in London, which is significantly higher than the government’s National Living Wage of£12.21. This difference equates to an annual boost of £760.50 for UK workers and £3,198.00 for London-based employees.
The need for fair wages has never been more urgent. In2024, 4.5million UK jobs (one in six jobs) were paid below the real Living Wage, marking the largest annual rise in low-paid jobs ever recorded. Part-timeworkers, women, and racialised communities are disproportionately affected:
These figures highlight the systemic inequalities that fair wage initiatives like ours aim to address.
At TTEC Digital, we believe that fair pay fosters a positive and collaborative work environment. By ensuring our employees feel genuinely valued, we strengthen relationships across teams and empower individuals to thrive.
This translates directly into better outcomes for our clients. Financially secure and motivated employees bring their best selves to work every day, resulting in:
Our Living Wage accreditation is just one part of a broader commitment to social responsibility. At TTEC Digital, we believe in using our expertise and partnerships to create opportunities for the next generation.
One such initiative is our collaboration with King’s Facilities Management (KFM) to deliver the Digital Dev Academy. This hands-on workshop introduces UK students from underrepresented backgrounds to the fundamentals of app development using Microsoft’s Power Platform. The programme not only teaches technical skills but also inspires curiosity and confidence in young people who may never have considered a futurein tech.
As Andy Elsmore, Executive Director of Technology Consulting at TTEC Digital, put it:
“We’re not just teaching code; we’re opening doors, challenging perceptions, and demonstrating that with the right support and guidance, young people can become the tech innovators of tomorrow.”
This initiative also supports our goals under the UK Government’s G-Cloud14 framework, which requires measurable social value contributions from participating vendors. TTEC Digital’s inclusion in this framework highlights our credibility, adherence to high standards, and ability to deliver scalable, innovative cloud solutions that meet stringent government requirements
TTEC Digital’s Living Wage accreditation marks a meaningful step in our journey to build a more equitable and people-centred workplace. By committing to fair pay, we’re supporting our employees’ well-being, enhancing the quality of service we deliver, and living out our core value to “Do the Right Thing” by acting with honesty, respect, and integrity in everything we do.
This milestone complements our broader efforts to create positive social impact, from empowering future talent to supporting public sector innovation. As we continue to grow and innovate, we remain steadfast inour mission to put people first, deliver exceptional experiences, and create meaningful change in the communities we serve.
